When buying a property in Turkey you should take into consideration all additional costs on top of a property price and plan your budget accordingly. You should allow around 5-7% of the property price for the additional buying costs.
These are one-off payments payable at various stages of the buying process:
- Solicitors Fee – around £300 for drawing contract or up to 1% of property price for additional checks
- Translators Fee – around £50
- Aegean Military Fee – around £200
- Buyers Tax - 1.5% of the property price
- Mandatory Earthquake Insurance - £45
- Estate Agent’s commission – 3% of property value
